CWL St. Michaels Scholarship

The Toronto Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women's League of Canada is offering a scholarship to St. Michael's College, to any young woman who is of Catholic faith, who is completing her secondary school education, and who has indicated on her application to the University of Toronto that St. Michael's College is her first choice. CWL Tree of Hope Angels

Thank you for supporting our Angel Sale, it was a great success and we raised $1,500 for the Human Family in Christ project in Bolivia.

Tree of Hope Angel Ornaments will be on sale on the weekend of December 4/5. They are $5 each and proceeds support The Human Family in Christ Charity

The Dad’s Root beer sale was a great success. We were almost sold out by the 9.30 am mass with only 13 bottles for the 11am. We raised $650 in sales and donations! Thanks to all who volunteered and all who supported us.

Father’s Day sale of Root Beer will be held in the at the parish exit after all Masses on Sunday June 20^th and the Saturday vigil. Come get a few “cold ones” and toast the dads! Just $3 each – look for the CWL “pop stop”.

Thank you to all those who participated in our Activity-a-thon. Together, we raised $2,380 for Share Life.

Activity-a-thon a plan has been developed, together with the Knights of Columbus, to run the campaign over two months in the summer, starting Father’s Day June 20^th to August 21^st. The activity is the choice of the participants, and each person is responsible for collecting pledges. 100% of money raised will go towards Share Life. Please complete this pledge form. Thank you for supporting our Rain Barrel Sale, we raised $421.50. Thanks, too, to all who volunteered.

Rain Barrel sale to raise funds. Rain barrels will be sold for less than what it would cost you elsewhere, so plan to order one from the CWL. Pick up from the church July 16^th or $10 extra for delivery. See details below.

“Mothers helping Mothers” collection of gift cards, cash and cheques is now completed. Final amount donated is $1,180. The CWL sincerely thanks our parishioners for their generosity. Vita Centre has also expressed their appreciation for this generous donation.

Mothers helping Mothers

The CWL is requesting your help in our fundraising effort to support Vita Centre. Vita Centre provides support, education, and counselling for vulnerable pregnant and parenting families, with the goal of empowering them to move forward and thrive. All programs and services are free of charge. It began in 1989 as a project to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Peel Regional Catholic Women’s League. You can visit the Vita Centre website www.vitacentre.org to learn more about the work they do in Peel.

You may donate gift cards from the local grocery and pharmacy chains, cheques payable to Vita Centre or cash. A donation box will be set up in the front foyer and rear door marked CWL - Vita Centre, and will be there until Sunday May 9. Please seal and mark your envelope CWL – Vita Centre 2021
