Hello there! My name is Katherine Jin and I will be serving as your 2018-2019 American Red Cross President! I’m super excited to meet every one of you and volunteer as fellow Red Crossers. As your president, I promise to maintain an organized club while making you feel right at home! Besides delegating tasks and organizing events for this club, I practice taekwondo. Although I am a second degree black belt, I probably cannot beat you up. Nor do I want to, because you’re a nice person. :)
Another main thing about me is that I'm korean. So yes, I know all the latest Kdramas that you're fangirling/boying about. Chances are that I’m probably fangirling too. Additionally, I'm one heck of a band nerd. As drum major, spending 8 hours at marching band rehearsal kinda becomes normal.
Lastly, if you like dad jokes, I bet we can instantly get along because I absolutely love jokes. I laugh at 99.9% of all the good (?) jokes I say. I really don't understand why my Spanish partner doesn't laugh with me.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Q: How do mermaids wash their fins?
A: With TIDE !
Please don't hesitate to come talk to me and feel free to just say hi! I'll see you around!
Hey Red Cross! Welcome all to our Red Cross community. My name is Caillou Dasalla, I'm currently a Senior and I will be serving as one of your Vice Presidents for the 2018-2019 school year. I’m extremely ecstatic and jazzed to be able to serve all my Red Cross peers and constituents in this capacity. Over my past three years of high school I have come to grow a deep and unyielding passion and love for this club as it has been a constant facet of my student career. Much like many of you guys this club has grown to mean a lot to me and has left me a deeply impacted and changed person. Formerly I was a member until being elected to my previous position of Public Relations Officer for the 2017-2018 school year. During my time as a member and officer this club has become yet another frontier of my life, with every event, member, and connection I’ve made adding onto my experience as one of its patrons. This year I hope to relish this extraordinary opportunity to serve dutifully as one of your Vice Presidents and to foster within all our members the same passion, intensity, and affection for this club akin to the sentiments which reside in even our most die-hard members. Through the format of volunteerism and community involvement I know that we as a club can build connections between one another and do great work in the process for our community and for the Red Cross.
Now aside from my adoration for Red Cross, here is a little bit about me. I’m a local yocal, CV boy and come from a mixed family. As of current I have near 2500 hours on Sid Meier's Civilization, approximately 105 days worth of time spent. I’m also a slight information buff and love to learn, but not in school cause that’s no muy divertido, except for Apush. I’ll never say I don’t love and adore Apush because that would just be false. Love you Mr. Goldstein. Also, if you get the reference “deuze pointes” then we’ll make great friends. Even if you don’t get that reference then I’m sure we’ll make great friends. I’m big on making connections with people and reciprocating friendship if it’s put out there for the taking. If I haven’t yet had the pleasure of personally connecting with you or interacting with you then I look forward to doing so over an event or a cold one with the thems! Anyways, enough about me. I’m glad to be serving the Red Cross and look forward to all the volunteerism and amazing work we’ll do together in the near future! Together we can save a life!
Hey friends! My name is Katelyn Wong and I'm currently a Senior at CVHS (woohoo!! go class of '19!!). I'm beyond excited to be serving as one of your Vice Presidents for the 2018-19 school year! Here's a little bit about me: I love sleeping when I have the chance to, I’m also the President of Interact (another service club on campus!), going to be Senior Class Secretary, I tend to overthink things, and I absolutely LOVE food. Another important aspect in my life is being able to make people smile because it brightens my day by a million. If you ever have any questions or just need some advice, feel free to talk to me! I’d be more than happy to help. And lastly, thank you for reading this because you’re amazing!!
Hello fellow Red Crossers! My name is Alex Long. Along with my partner in crime Nolan Keating, I will serve as your co-secretary for your 2018-2019 school year. Being co-secretary of Red Cross means alot to me. Not only will I be able to participate in more club activities, but I will play a fundamental part in its inner workings as well. More importantly however, I will be able to interact and talk to you guys more. As secretary, I hope to make your 2018-2019 Red Cross year memorable, as well as fun. I look forward to getting aLONG (sorry) with all of you!
Alright it's time to get to know me better! Besides Red Cross, I participate in many other extracurricular activities. I’ve played on the school tennis team for three years and have played varsity for two years. If you join the team, we definitely get to see each other more! I also play piano frequently. If you’re trying to impress someone, you can hit me up for lessons. Also, I’m Chinese. This means that I can speak and understand Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. Sadly C-dramas are not as popular in America, so I can’t impress you by translating what the characters say. However, I can translate what the old people in Chinatown say, so that’s a perk. Lastly, I am quite the pun connoisseur. Although it takes time, I can think of a pun in any given situation. Maybe we can both be eggs one day and crack jokes together!
From my physical appearance, it is very apparent that I am tall. Instead of writing a paragraph on my height, I have listed some FAQs below.
Q: How tall are you?
A: 6’2
Q: What size shoes do you wear?
A: Size 13
Q: How does being tall make you feel?
A: Powerful
Q: Are you good at basketball?
A: No
Q: Whats the weather up there?
A: Pretty cold
Q: How are car/airplane rides?
A: The worst
Anyways, enough about me. I am thrilled to become your Red Cross co-secretary for the 2018-2019 school year. Together we will serve aLONGside each other!
If you’re reading this then that means you’ve taken some interest into learning more about the clubs officers and what they’re all about which is cool I guess... So who am I? My name is Nolan Keating and I'm currently a Senior while writing this but for anyone who reads this in the following school year I am a senior. If I had to describe myself without sounding egotistical I would probably say I’m a class clown who loves making people laugh while also being a pretty serious person who doesn’t like wasting time. I love meeting new people and I’m extremely easy to talk to so don’t hesitate if you ever have a question about the club or just want to talk in general because I’d be more than glad to have a conversation with anyone. My hobbies consist of sleeping in, playing various video games (jk I only play League and Hearthstone), and sending songs to all of my friends (sorry guys).
Hey guys! My name is Angel and here is some interesting things about me. I’m currently a Senior at CVHS and I will be serving as your 2018-2019 treasurer! I am committed to anything I do, so if I set my mind to it, I will complete the task. You can also trust me because I am trustworthy and I won’t let you down. On a more personal note, I would consider myself someone you can talk to about anything, so feel free to talk to me because I would love to meet and get closer to you. Some of my interests are CRACKING some EGGcelent YOLKS (heh… I really love koala-tea puns), watching k-dramas/k-pop music videos, and playing video games (what a shocker!) I always go to sleep after 2:00 A.M., so if you want, we can chat till then. I also splurged on a rubber chicken and mini hands from amazon, and they’re VERY useful, I swear. My goal is to meet and connect with more red crossers, and to create an environment where everyone can feel included and feel like we’re a big family. Thank you guys for taking your time to read my bio!

Hello y’all beautiful people! I am thrilled to be your 2018- 2019 Public Relations Officer. I will be primarily responsible for managing all the social media platforms and interacting with our members. One of my goals this year is to connect you all with as many opportunities for involvement in the American Red Cross as is possible.
Besides having a big passion for volunteering through the Red Cross, I am also an avid food enthusiast (but I hate anything with chocolate flavor, no shame). I love to read but have never had the motivation to finish Harry Potter ¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯ . I also love to hike a lot and take aesthetic pictures! I was born and raised in Hong Kong for the first thirteen years of my life and had spent a year and half in Maryland before moving to Castro Valley. I can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and am struggling to learn French. Red Cross is virtually another home to me and I hope you feel the same as well! If you ever need someone to talk with, please don’t hesitate to hit me up! See you soon :D
Hi! My name is Ingrid Wells and I am your 2018-2019 historian! I am a Senior this year (not looking forward to the stressful nights of college applications that I'll surely procrastinate on) and am very excited to be on the Red Cross board. I am a full-time band nerd that loves dogs (and cats), snapping photos, and going to Red Cross events! Please contact me if you want to have some good photos taken of you :)). Although I am only historian, I hope to make a positive and new impact on our club. Spending countless hours with my friends while volunteering for awesome events has been one of my favorite pass times in my high school career. I've made many friends and had many new experiences, and I surely hope that every member in our club can agree! I look forward to one more year of helping out our community through the Red Cross :). Feel free to say hi or tell me a joke if you see me around!
Bonjour!! Je m'appelle Christine :) I am currently a Sophomore (woo!! class of 2021!!) and I will be serving as one of your Committee Chairs for the 2018-2019 term :))
To be completely honest, I’m not too interesting, but hey, do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again? ;) Haha I’m a huge fan of romance novels/movies! I’m down to watch any kdramas with you, too! Besides staying indoors, I like exploring the outside world and staying active! I’d gladly join you for a game of basketball, tennis, you name it I’ll attempt to play it (it’s all about having fun, not winning! — but maybe a hike too! Heh... you know what hike means...adventures!! Adventure means you get to take pictures, but not just any pictures, the aesthetic tumblr ones ;) I’d give up any moment to take a picture because you know what they say.. “take a picture...it lasts longer.” Oof...would you change your outfit just for a pic at golden hour even if it’s like 40 or 100 degrees? sounds like me! okay sorry besides the point lol but, I’m a very open person and I’ll be that one person that’ll text you a nice message on some days just cause I felt like you needed a little reminder of how amazing you are :) !! Don’t let the world change your smile, let your smile change the world! I can’t wait spend a whole year with you guys!! <3
Hey everyone, my name is Kausar Raniwala. I am a Sophomore and I will be one of your Committee Chair Officers this year. My job will be to assist and help out the other officers in events and other responsibilities. As well as being a member of the Red Cross Club at CVHS, I am also a Blood Donor Ambassador with the American Red Cross. Some things about me are that I love to read in my spare time, my favorite subject is English, and I love working with other people. I am so excited to be a Red Cross Officer and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Hey there! I’m Merced Vu and I am serving as one of the Committee Chairs this year along with Christine and Kausar! Basically, my job is to help coordinate events and assist the other officers with their tasks. A bit about me: I am currently a Senior who enjoys boba runs (probably a bit too much), hanging out with my friends, spending countless hours on Netflix (especially The Office), and baking French Macarons. Something else: I love animals. I actually aspire to work in the veterinary field one day. I have three dogs: a Husky, a German Shepherd, and a Border Collie. It warms my heart so much when I’m able to help others and put smiles on their faces. I am super excited to be meeting and working with you guys this year. I’m a very friendly person so don’t be scared to contact me for any questions, comments, or concerns (or if you just want to say hi)! See you around :)
