This workshop presents the transmission of Thai traditional knowledge in crafting mallets for the ranat (xylophone) and the khong (gong), a form of craftsmanship that requires skill, delicacy, and precision. Participants will engage in the entire process, from material selection and design to construction and fine adjustment of the mallets, ensuring their suitability for practical use in the music classroom. The activity integrates traditional principles with contemporary applications, enabling the creation of mallets for both pitched and unpitched percussion instruments, including membranophones. It further addresses the diversity and physical needs of learners, while offering participants hands-on experience that harmoniously combines artisanal practice with music education.

กิจกรรมนี้จะนำเสนอการถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญาไทยในการสร้างไม้ตีระนาดและไม้ตีฆ้อง ซึ่งเป็นงานหัตถศิลป์ที่ต้องอาศัยทักษะ ความละเอียดอ่อน และความประณีต ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้เรียนรู้ตั้งแต่กระบวนการคัดเลือกวัสดุ การออกแบบ ไปจนถึงการสร้าง และปรับแต่งไม้ตี ให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้งานจริงในห้องเรียนดนตรี กิจกรรมยังเชื่อมโยงหลักการดั้งเดิมเข้ากับการประยุกต์ใช้ในบริบทสมัยใหม่ เพื่อสร้างไม้สำหรับเครื่องกระทบ และเครื่องหนัง ทั้งที่มีระดับเสียงและไม่มีระดับเสียง ตอบสนองต่อความหลากหลายและสรีระของผู้เรียน และเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจริงผ่านการผสมผสานศิลปะหัตถกรรมกับดนตรีศึกษาดนตรีอย่างลงตัว
