According to contemporary urban planning theory derived from Kevin Lynch’s The Image of the City, a city is not defined merely by its physical structures. Rather, it is constructed through the "Image" and the perceptions people hold of their environment—comprising elements such as Paths, Nodes, and Landmarks.
This session aims to propose a new philosophy for urban development by shifting the perspective on music: moving beyond viewing it as a merely temporary "Activity," towards establishing it as a permanent and essential "Urban Element." In this context, music functions as vital infrastructure that shapes the atmosphere, connects communities, and serves as an "Invisible Classroom" embedded within everyday life.

"องค์ประกอบของเมือง"
ในทฤษฎีผังเมืองร่วมสมัยตามแนวคิดของ Kevin Lynch (The Image of the City) เมืองมิได้ถูกนิยามด้วยเพียงสิ่งปลูกสร้างทางกายภาพ แต่ประกอบขึ้นจาก "จินตภาพ" (Image) และการรับรู้ของผู้คนที่มีต่อสภาพแวดล้อม ไม่ว่าจะเป็น เส้นทาง (Paths), จุดนัดพบ (Nodes), หรือแลนด์มาร์ก (Landmarks)
การเสวนาครั้งนี้ มุ่งนำเสนอปรัชญาใหม่ในการพัฒนาเมือง โดยเปลี่ยนมุมมองจากการเห็นดนตรีเป็นเพียงกิจกรรมชั่วคราว (Activity) มาสู่การมองดนตรีให้เป็น "องค์ประกอบของเมือง" (Urban Element) ที่ถาวรและจำเป็น เปรียบเสมือนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ทำหน้าที่สร้างบรรยากาศ เชื่อมโยงผู้คน และทำหน้าที่เป็น "ห้องเรียนที่มองไม่เห็น" (Invisible Classroom) ในชีวิตประจำวัน
เพื่อมาร่วมกันถอดรหัสว่า เราจะนำทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่มาออกแบบ "องค์ประกอบทางดนตรี" ลงไปในผังเมืองกรุงเทพฯ ได้อย่างไร เพื่อให้การเรียนรู้ดนตรีเกิดขึ้นได้ทุกที่
