"Welcome to the department of Automobile engineering at C. U. Shah, Government Polytechnic, Surendranagar.  

It gives me immense pleasure to lead the department of Automobile engineering having team of highly efficient, motivated and well qualified faculties. At institute, each year campus placement is done by various reputed industries. I am very happy to acknowledge that our pass outs have excel their career in either automobile industry or higher study.

The primary focus of the department is to empower our students with overall development. The department publish its all activities by bi – annual magazine Auto Express.

We, the Team – Automobile are working with the following objectives:

• • • • To nurture the students with multi-dimensional skill sets. The primary focus is to impart technical know-how to students and promote their problem solving skills.

      • To focus on Outcome Based Education by innovative pedagogy, Industry-Academic interaction and doing projects etc. We offer one full semester Industrial training as a part of curriculum and in final semester we motivate students to take project work under the title technical seminar.

      • Each student is taking care through a Mentor where students are emphasized for good academics, placements and participation in co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities.

      • The faculty members are encouraged to take training in various field to update their knowledge as well as to excel in their career.

I am confident that the students of the department would justify the credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective field.
