What to wear & bring:
For auditions on Sept. 10th, please wear a plain black shirt for headshots, and avoid shirts with spaghetti straps or writing on them.
If you have an acting resume, feel free to bring a copy for the directors!
After the initial auditions:
In addition to your monologue audition on Sept. 10th, everyone should also be prepared to be at callback auditions if they are called on Friday, Sept. 11th at 6:00pm. These auditions will take place in the Barnett Theatre. You will be called up to the stage in groups and asked to read for various characters. Please be as familiar with the show as possible to ensure your success. You can read a copy of the play here.
We will post a callback list on the callboard outside the theatre office and on this page for those we need to see again on Sept. 11. If you are not on the callback list, it does NOT mean that you weren't cast. There are also tech positions available.
If you are new to this, cold reading involves acting out a scene using emotions in your body, face, and voice to convey the character as you read lines. We are looking for how you move onstage and connect/respond to other characters! Have fun with it and give each role your very best!
