For this audition, you will need to choose two contrasting monologues to memorize and perform (not to exceed 3 mins altogether). These should be chosen from published plays, with monologues that suit you and the characters in The Curious Savage. Please do not choose a monologue from The Curious Savage.

The Humanities library has a large selection of plays to look through for monologues, or you can browse Professor Bradford's play library and monologue books. There are also websites like this one with various monologues to choose from:

Monologues | A Monologue Hub | Shakespeare, Contemporary and Comic (stagemilk.com)

You may need to cut a monologue down to time, so be sure to time it while reading aloud.
Please start your auditions with a slate-- stating your full name, 1st character you will be portraying from the play, and author your monologue is from, and then repeat with second monologue. Example: Hi, my name is Angeline Bradford and I will be portraying the character, Gwendolyn, from the Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, as well as the character, Tess, from the play, Blue Stockings by Jessica Swale.
