AppChanger is a macOS menu bar utility that helps you quickly bring a selected app to the front.
We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
AppChanger does not collect personal data such as your name, email address, contacts, photos, or documents.
AppChanger does not send your activity or input data to any server. The app works locally on your Mac.
AppChanger may request the following macOS permissions. These permissions are used only to provide the app’s core functionality and are not used to track you.
Accessibility (Assistive Access)
Purpose: To raise/focus the user-selected window/app.
What we do NOT do: We do not automate unrelated actions, and we do not read or store your typing.
Input Monitoring
Purpose: To detect your configured shortcut (e.g., modifier key + click) to show the picker menu.
What we do NOT do: We do not log, store, or transmit keystrokes. No typed content is recorded.
Screen Recording (if requested)
Purpose: To list windows/titles when required by macOS for window enumeration.
What we do NOT do: We do not record or save any video. The permission is not used to capture or upload screen content.
AppChanger does not use AppleScript, ScriptingBridge, or Apple Events (including controlling Finder or System Events).
No analytics SDKs are used.
No tracking across apps or websites.
No advertising.
AppChanger may store local settings (such as shortcut/modifier preferences) on your Mac using system storage (UserDefaults). These settings remain on your device.
AppChanger does not integrate with third-party services that receive your data.
AppChanger is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
