AliasDiver is an app I made as a tribute to that old AliasMenu.
From the AliasDiver menu in your menu bar, you can quickly access your favorite folders and files—and even dive straight into folders buried deep inside your SSD.
Use it however you like. You can even use it as a launcher!
How to Use
When you launch the app, the AliasDiver menu appears in the menu bar (as shown on the right). First, choose Open AliasDive Folder to open the AliasDive folder.
Add aliases of your frequently used folders, files, and apps to the AliasDive folder.
Name each item using this format:
3-digit number + [color name] + file name
Items are shown in the menu in numeric order. If you include a [color name], you can change the folder’s color. If the item has a file extension, the extension will also be displayed along with the file name.
Three underscores ___ work as a separator. Use them to keep your folders and files organized.
Compare the folder on the left with the menu on the right. The items are not sorted alphabetically—they’re sorted by the 3-digit number. Add colors and separators to make your menu clean and easy to use.
You can use the 12 color names shown on the left. Put the color name in the [].
Enjoy making your Mac even more convenient!
