Technical parameters of evaluation

What are technical parameters of the evaluation?

Technical parameters of the evaluation include:

  • Timeline of the evaluation;

  • Evaluation period, i.e. the period consisting of entire calendar years from 2014 to 2018;

  • Conditions for including a person as a member of core staff, i.e. selection of staff categories (professors, associate professors, assistant professors, instructors, lecturers, research staff as defined by the Internal Salary Regulation of the university) and determination of minimum involvement rate in terms of full-time equivalent during the evaluation period;

  • Maximum number of outputs to be subject to peer review;

How are technical parameters set?

Technical parameters are set by a Rector’s measure before the Evaluation commences.

Technical vs. academic parameters

Technical parameters are set by the Rector as a basic framework in which the evaluation takes place with respect to the considerations and needs of the university (e.g. goals, schedule, budget) while academic parameters are determined by the Research Evaluation Board.
