From October 11 to 23, 2026, Cultural Connection and “Todor Angelevski” Primary School jointly carried out the project “Green Action Between Holidays.” The school yard got a fresh, green look, and the students gained a new awareness of caring for their surroundings.

📢 Why should we care?

The action began with a short talk by Stefan from Cultural Connection on the importance of cleanliness, maintenance and environmental protection. He encouraged the students to separate plastic from other waste and to take responsibility for tidying and maintaining their school yard. The students put these lessons into practice right away.

🌱 The Green Wall, the heart of the action

The main activity was creating a Green vertical Wall in the school yard. Each class brought one seedling: a flower, a small pine or seeds. Together, they turned the wall into a living green space that now brightens the students’ everyday life.

🇪🇺 In the spirit of the European Youth Goals

The project directly contributes to the European Youth Goals, especially Goal #10, “Sustainable Green Europe,” which calls on young people to take an active part in protecting the environment and to build sustainable habits in their communities. This is fully in line with what Cultural Connection stands for and supports: youth engagement, environmental responsibility and the values promoted by the European Union. Through initiatives like this, we don’t just follow European recommendations. We turn them into concrete action at the local level.

💚 More than a beautiful yard

This small project is more than a visual change. We believe it will raise young people’s awareness of the importance of a green environment and of caring for nature, as an unbreakable bond between people and life.
