Culinary Federation memberships open the door to a wide range of opportunities for chefs, apprentices, culinary students, and food enthusiasts. Members gain access to a strong network of professionals across Canada, providing connections, mentorship, and collaboration. The Federation offers professional development through workshops, competitions, conferences, and educational resources, helping members sharpen their skills and stay on top of industry trends.
Membership also includes opportunities to travel, attend national and regional events, and showcase talents on both local and international stages. Beyond career growth, the Federation fosters a strong sense of community—bringing people together to celebrate Canadian cuisine, support each other’s journeys, and strengthen the future of the culinary industry.
Applicants shall be deemed eligible for National Membership if they hold a valid Certificate of Qualification for the Trade of Cook (a TQ5 if trained with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1985) or similar Certification from any Province or Territory where applicable, or an equivalent Certificate from any member country of WorldChefs, or they must be currently working for a documented minimum eight (8) years in the Trade of Cook or as an instructor at an accredited College, Foodservices or Hospitality Institution.
$200 annually OR $20 monthly
+ $30 one-time initiation fee for new members

Open to any person actively engaged in the preparation of food in a commercial establishment or is enrolled in a recognized course of culinary studies at a college, school or institute. Is actively involved in work/study in the trade of cooking at the time of the application.

This application is intended for industry partners who wish to join the Culinary Federation Lethbridge Branch as Associate Members for the current calendar year.
Associate Membership offers an opportunity to engage directly with a network of culinary professionals through access to branch meetings, events, educational sessions, and industry gatherings. It is designed to foster meaningful connections, support collaboration, and strengthen relationships within the Southern Alberta food community.
In addition to attending events, Associate Members are invited to take an active role within the branch. This includes the opportunity to host a meeting or event, providing a platform to showcase their business, products, or services to a dedicated audience of industry professionals.
The annual membership fee is $100 per business.
The Foodie Membership is designed for individuals outside of the culinary industry who share a passion for food and a desire to learn more. Whether you’re an enthusiastic home cook or simply enjoy exploring the world of food, this membership offers a welcoming way to connect with the local culinary community.
Foodie Members receive access to all branch meetings, along with invitations to tasting seminars, educational sessions, and networking events. It is an opportunity to expand your knowledge, experience new flavours, and engage with chefs and food professionals in Southern Alberta.
The annual membership fee is $85 per person.
