LEAGUE RULES

Please use the "fist bump" instead of shaking hands as our snooker league is played in the cold and flu season and we like healthy Cue Sports members.

• $450.00 in prizes for the Winter Snooker League

• All teams make the playoffs.

• No splitting of points after the red balls.

• If one team is up 40 or more points after the red balls, the game is over.

• Players on the bye week become the designated team spare for that week.

• Two (2) points for a win: one (1) point for a tie: zero (0) points for a loss.

• Please bring your happy face every time you play snooker and win the Team Sportsmanship Award.

• Home Teams break every game

• Home teams first write the names of their team players on the white board for games 1 and 2 only.

• Visitor teams then write the names of their team players on the white board for games 1 through 4.

• Home teams then write the names of their team players on the white board for games 3 and 4.

• Home teams collect and pay $0.75 for each participating player and deposit the entire $3.00 in the table cash machine on the wall prior to commencement of play.

• Visitor teams collect and pay $0.75 for each participating player and deposit the entire $3.00 in the cash box provided by Howie Kerr prior to commencement of play.

• All team members play 2 games in each week they are scheduled to play.

• If longer term replacement players are required, please submit your request to Tom Lambourne for review by the snooker league committee.

• If teams play with only 3 players, they forfeit 2 points on the game a player on their team plays a 3rd game.

• If a team plays with only 2 players, all 8 points will be forfeited to the opposition team for that week.

• All teams must adhere to the 10 second coaching rule which begins 10 seconds after all snooker balls come to rest prior to your turn. During your games, coaching is permitted by your playing partner only.

• All teams must avoid slow play as the league goal is to complete all matches within the 3 hour timeframe.

• Please be honest when you know you committed a foul, by advising the other team that you fouled.

• All snooker rules are in effect except the Foul and a Miss rule, but all players must learn this rule.

• Please adhere to the following Cue Sports Rules on Tuesday and Thursday snooker league dates:

• Snooker tables must be vacated at 1230pm to facilitate Snooker League practise.

• League players are permitted to play 8 Ball during or between their Snooker League games.
