The Lion Den typically consists of children in Kindergarten. This is a great introduction into the scouting program. It includes adventures in the outdoors, personal fitness, citizenship, personal safety, as well as family and reverence.
The Tiger Den typically consist of children in First grade. The den builds on the skills and adventures from Lions and learns the Scout Oath and Law.
The Wolf Den typically consist of children in Second grade. The den builds on the skills and adventures from Tigers and continues to emcompass the Scout Oath and Law.
The Bear Den typically consists of children in Third grade. The den builds on the skills and adventures from Wolves and takes on more responsibility such as the use of a pocket knife and preparing a campfire.
The Webelos Den typically consists of children in the Fourth Grade. The den builds on the skills and adventures from Bears and begin taking on ownership in their scouting experience.
The Arrow of Light Den typically consists of children in the Fifth Grade. This is the final stage and serves as a bridge to a Scouts BSA troop. A bridging ceremony marks the final stage of Cub Scouts.
