It is the goal of this Pack to be "service oriented". Each year the Pack Committee will choose at least one Pack service project in which all members of the Pack are expected to participate. The importance that each Cub Scout learn to serve their community or fellow man cannot be overemphasized. Each member of the Pack may suggest service projects to the Pack Committee at any time during the year. Additional service projects may be organized at the discretion of the Pack Committee.
The 1st Saturday in November, Scouts across the nation head out to local communities to ask for donations of non-perishable food and/or paper products, by handing out door hangers, asking the community to leave any items in plastic bags to be collected the following weekend.
The 2nd Saturday in November, Scouts gather again to go back out into the community to pick up any donations left. They will then bring them back and check all the items for any expired items. All non-expired items will then be donated to a local food bank within their community.
Several times a year, Pack members gather at local hiking trails to pick up trash. Scouts learn the importance of Leave No Trace Behind and being a good citizen.
