In late September to early October, we offer a local camping trip to our Pack families. This trip is within an hour drive of Jacobus, PA. We camp from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Meals and snacks are included in the trip. We usually go hiking and fishing depending on the location. Due to the closeness of the location, scouts and their families have the option to camp for 1 or 2 nights. This is a great way to introduce camping if your family has never gone before. Our Pack has some tents for families who are new to camping.

Summer Camp is about getting outdoors, experiencing nature, learning new skills, and having fun in ways Scouts may not have before. While working on adventures for advancement, Scouts will also get to step outside the bounds of requirements to have the fullest camping experience possible. Scouts will have a full day as they learn new skills and have fun between our morning and evening program and daily adventures.
There are several camping sessions offered throughout the summer to accommodate everyone's schedule.
Our local resident camp is Camp Tuckahoe. Located near Dillsburg, PA, on the York and Cumberland county border, Camp Tuckahoe began operations in 1948 as a year-round and summer camp facility. With 1,300 acres of lush wooded hills, Tuckahoe is a Scout camp rich in the purest traditions of Scout camping while offering campers of all ages outstanding challenges and adventures.
Cub Scout Adventure Camp is either a day-only or an evening-only program offered to Cub Scouts by our local council in July. All Tigers (with a parent), Wolves, Bears, and Webelos are eligible to attend. This is a great experience for scouts to learn about fishing, archery, BB guns and so much more. These camps are 5 days long.
