Accommodation

There are two hotels within walking distance to campus:

• The Emory Conference Center (1615 Clifton Road). A conference rate of $159/night is available here. From the Conference Center (#8760 on the Emory online map – G5) you can (1) take the 20-minute walk; (2) take the hotel shuttle bus to Woodruff Circle and then use the campus map to get to the Modern Languages Building (#1680 on map – G8); or (3) bike by renting a bike at the Conference Center. You can also use Google Maps to locate the Modern Languages Building: Enter the "Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures" as your destination and that will direct you to the front of the Modern Languages Building.
• The University Inn (1767 North Decatur Road). Rooms starting at $126/night. From the Inn use the campus map to take the 10-minute walk to the Modern Languages Building (#1680 on map – G8). The Inn is not on the map but located just east of Building #1753 on the map (I9). You can also use Google Maps: Enter the "Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures" as your destination and that will direct you to the front of the Modern Languages Building.

If you are interested in staying in a different part of town, popular areas include

• Downtown Atlanta
• Downtown Decatur
• Midtown
• Buckhead

Plan on allowing at least a 15-minute cab ride from any of these locations to campus. As your destination use the address 1555 Dickey Drive. This will take you to a traffic circle in front of Tarbutton Hall on campus. As you face the entrance Tarbutton, take the stairs to the left up alongside the building, and the Modern Languages Building will be the next building on your right. Once you are on foot, you can also use Google Maps: Enter the "Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures" as your destination and that will direct you to the front of the Modern Languages Building.
