Computational Thinking from K-12 Disciplinary Perspectives: Framework Building
Pre-Work
In preparation for the August Framework building meeting, we ask that you do the following by Monday, August 14:
- based on your professional role, complete the relevant form (teacher or researcher) below
- read 3 articles from the list of suggested readings
- watch the 3 CSTA interviews with computational thinking experts below.
We anticipate the work above will take you approximately 4-6 hrs to complete. You do not need to complete everything in one sitting.
In addition: As indicated above, over the next two weeks teachers and researchers will be contributing their stories and examples of their work through the forms below. Before you arrive at EDC on Aug 21, you might consider reviewing the contributions of the other teachers and researchers who will be in attendance to gain a better understanding of the perspectives of workshop participants and their potential contributions to the discussion. To access their responses, check the email sent to participants on Aug 17 for the link to the shared folder.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Thank you!
