The transition to university the development of a student’s the ability to balance their academic, social, and extracurricular responsibilities.
Online synchronous and asynchronous learning can be extremely rewarding and beneficial to student learning and engagement. However, these academic platforms require students to stay on top of their learning experience by developing their own individualized routines and checkpoints. For first year undergraduate students, this online learning environment includes the heightened responsibility of academics within a university setting – which can be a new learning experience.
This website hopes to provide tools, resources and tips to be mindful of whilst students navigate online learning opportunities. The sections include themes of time management, the development of S.M.A.R.T. goals, a growth mindset approach to learning and the importance of wellness and self-care. There will also be an overview on resources and tools that are required to render online platforms accessible.
