The WOOD team has worked together as a part of the CTL5011 course at the University of Toronto within OISE . The team chose to pursue providing resources that lie between theoretical and practical frameworks to support students navigate online education and learning. This work is founded in the passion to support the academic wellness of students!
Monica is currently completing her first year within the program of the Masters of Education at OISE. She holds a background in health & wellness and is extremely passionate about wellness at the intersection.
The reason she decided to take the CTL5011 course was to expand her knowledge on holistic approaches within education. She appreciates the opportunity to expand her skills and abilities through collaboration and team work.
Fun Fact: Her favourite past time is reading (preferably in a nice coffee shop) and her favourite food is pasta!
Changyi is currently completing her first and half year within the program of the Master of Education at OISE. She interseted in the visual communitication for onlin learning enviroment.
She wanted to learn more about integrative teaching methods, so she decided to take CTL5011. She values the chance to learn and grow as an individual by contributing to a team's success.
Fun Fact: Her key to pleasure is the fulfilment of her senses of taste, sight, smell, and learning.
Hong is passionate about creating data-driven and aesthetically appealing learning solutions in different formats. She has worked and volunteered as a curriculum developer in Higher Ed and NGOs where she can apply design thinking skills and an empathy-based approach to curate riveting learning experiences for target learners. She feels the magic power of being a designer is that she could address learners’ unarticulated needs and make them feel comfortable to be who they are.
Fun Fact: Hong is a plant stepmom and a legit foodie that enjoys the tongue-numbing feelings of hot pot and jalapeno poppers. She is also craving desserts that always give her acne.
Jeewan is currently completing her first and half year of the Master of Education program at OISE. She was interested in instructional design.
Through technology, she strives to create engaging and effective learning experiences. In addition to developing curricula and creating multimedia, she is passionate about teaching and learning.
Using her design skills and experiences, she looks forward to shaping future education.
