KINDERGARTEN - GRADE 6

With online learning becoming more prominent, virtual field trips are excellent additions to K-6 lessons--all complimenting the Ontario curriculum. With the features of virtual tours, descriptive videos, and interactive websites, students have the opportunity to explore different areas of the world at their fingertips. With the resources shown below, students can meaningfully make sense of the various strands of the curriculum content by making connections to real world examples. Teachers can utilize virtual field trips as a tool to further engage students, and provide experiential learning opportunities, all from the comfort of their online classroom environment.

SOCIAL STUDIES

The trips below showcase some historical and geographical areas in Canada and around the world. These virtual experiences showcase authentic features of our every changing global community. Through these online experiences, students will be able to learn holistically by visually exploring key Canadian and/or world features.

ART

The virtual field trips below showcase authentic depictions of dance, music, drama, theatre, and visual art. Through these visual experiences, students will be immersed in a hub of creativity that encourage them to communicate with messages from around the world. Students can utilize these experiences as they navigate their own artistic expression, and hopefully embark on further growth and inspiration.

SCIENCE

The virtual field trips below offer students the opportunity to inquire and visually experience nature and our physical world. Through biology, chemistry and physics, students can explore the scientific elements embedded in nature, our society, and ever-changing technology.

LANGUAGE ARTS

The virtual field trips below allows students to appreciate language as more than form of communication, but also a form of creative expression. Through media perspectives, art forms and theatre, students have the opportunity to see words come to life and recognize the value of linguistic expression.

MATH

The virtual field trips below give students the opportunity to participate in math activities using built-in tools and on-site features photographed. From these virtual field trips, students will recognize how math problems are embedded in our everyday life, that we must question, reflect on, and explore to solve.
