Amanda

Amanda is from Toronto, Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto in 2017. She later completed her Bachelor of Education in 2018 in the Concurrent Teacher Education Program (CTEP) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in the Primary/Junior stream, affiliated with Victoria College. Since then, Amanda has been working as a teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board, and finished a grade 4 contract position earlier this year.

Amanda is also a part-time student at OISE pursuing her Master of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy. Her emphasis is in Wellbeing, specifically focusing on Holistic Education and Mental Health programming in Ontario schools. Amanda is passionate about these topics in education and hopes to further explore how holistic education and mental health can be fused with technology in our 21st century classrooms.

Lynn

Lynn is from Vancouver, British Columbia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Victoria in 2013 and worked a number of years in non-profit organizations, higher education, and K-12 education. She recently got hired as an Instructional Designer, Faculty Development at a public institution in Vancouver and is excited to start her new role. In addition, she is studying full-time in the Master of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy program focusing in adult education and digital technology at the University of Toronto to further her career in education. She is expected to complete her program in 2020.

Lynn is specialized in curriculum development and instructional design for online learning and blended learning in higher education. Her skills are in instructional design, media design, technical support and training, and lastly, reviewing, producing, and editing online course content. Lastly, Lynn is passionate about hiking, travelling, and photography. She enjoys exploring new places and immersing herself in new culture.


samantha

Samantha is from Toronto, Ontario. She is from a family of educators who worked in Montessori Education in Canada. She has seen first hand the transformational force of education. As a teacher for the past 8 years and having 4 years in nor-for-profit youth engagement, Samantha has sought to bring inclusive, innovative, and holistic education to the classroom and school, community environment. As a full-time teacher, Samantha has taught a range of grades and subjects as a educator with the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB).

After integrating her elementary Montessori experience and not-for-profit experience into her personal pedgagological approach with the TCDSB, Samantha began pursuing a Master in Education to advance public education in Ontario through the lenses of equity, social justice, and with a focus on technology and 21st Century learning strategies as an amplifier of student voice, engagement and learning.
