Certiport has developed a home-based assessment solution using virtual machines that allows for administered exams that test candidates can take from home.

Several courses are available through the CISCO Networking Academy. Courses include: CCNA R&S Curriculum; CCNA Security; Cybersecurity Essentials; Introduction to IoT; Introduction to Packet Tracer; IoT Fundamentals; IT Essentials; Mobility Fundamentals; Networking Essentials.

DevNet Sandboxmakes Cisco’s free spread of technology available to developers and engineers by providing packaged labs we call Sandboxes. There are two types of sandboxes, Always-On and Reservation. Each sandbox typically highlights one Cisco product. Sandboxes can be used for development, testing APIs, learning how to configure a product, training, hack-a-thons, etc.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CompTIA is offering free e-learning for CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) and other resources for students. Details for remote testing options can be found here.

Providing the technology skills and certifications students need to succeed. Teachers with access to the Microsoft Imagine Academy can still make available to students, curriculum resources to benefit preparation for any MTA exam. Please contact Niketa Dean, if you need your site’s Member ID.

If administering the MTA exams to students, Certiport is now offering a CERTIPORT EXAMS FROM HOME in response to the COVID-19 crisis. To participate, follow the steps on this link to schedule exams from home: www.certiport.com/examsfromhome. Technical requirements are also found on the same URL. Participation may be limited based upon response volume. Teachers should give priority to juniors and seniors.

TestOut’s learning platform, LabSim, integrates every resource you need to prepare your students for certification. You’ll find rich content delivered in instructional videos, text lessons, quizzes and exams to assess knowledge, and hands-on labs where students can put what they are learning to real-life scenarios in advanced hardware/software simulations.

Set up with using online learning tools available from TESTOUT. Teachers will schedule a time to meet with Travis Wilde, K-12 Executive Account Manager to gain access to demo Office Pro and PC Pro. Demo videos of the Office Pro and PC Pro products can viewed at links to the left.

Videos will give teachers an idea of methodology and navigation of products. Teachers will need to fill out this form here: www.testout.com/2020grant. This will expedite the process and enable TestOut to track any who may need help.

Office Pro: covering MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook to the MOS objectives.

IT Fundamentals Pro: Built around the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam. Could be used with programming/coding classes as well.

PC Pro: Computer hardware maintenance and repair; built toward the CompTIA A+ and MTA Operating Systems exam

Network Pro: Built around the CompTIA N+ and MTA Networking Fundamentals Exam

Security Pro: Built around the CompTIA S+ and the MTA Security Fundamentals Exam
