Waterloo is serviced by the Region of Waterloo Airport (YKF). Airlines that fly into Waterloo include: Air Canada, Flair airlines, and Westjet. Options for ground transportation from the airport to Wilfrid Laurier University can be found here.
If you are flying into Pearson airport in Toronto (YYZ) a larger number of airlines service this airport. Information on ground transportation to Waterloo can be found here. Cost will be cheaper for several of these options if you co-ordinate to share the cost with others before arriving. We also strongly recommend that you pre-book your round trip ground transportation before arriving at the airport as Pearson is 75 to 120 minutes away from Waterloo by car depending on traffic.
Options include:
1) Car rental
2) Train (this involves taking the UP Express to Union Station in downtown Toronto and then connecting with a VIA rail train or a GO bus or train to the Kitchener station and then a 10 minute taxi ride to Waterloo).
3) Flixbus operates service from Pearson to Kitchener downtown. A 10 minute taxi ride would then be required to Waterloo.
4) GO bus from Pearson to Wilfrid Laurier University. This will involve one transfer, but will drop you off at the main entrance of the university.
5) Airways Transit offers door to door service to/from Waterloo to Pearson.
6) Waterloo Taxi will do pick-ups and drop-offs at Pearson for a flat rate. These must be pre-booked.
7) Air Canada now offers bus service to and from Pearson to the Region of Waterloo airport for customers with Air Canada flights. You will then need to get to and from the Region of Waterloo airport to Wilfrid Laurier University. This is ~25 minute taxi ride.
