CSZ EDI committee has put together some recommendations for presenters - click here
Talks:
All talks are held in the Bricker Building classrooms and lecture halls. All rooms are equipped with a podium, laptop, projector, and microphone (if required). All rooms run Microsoft PowerPoint, and no other media formats (e.g. slides/overheads) or software will be available. Participants will not be able to connect their personal computers to the A/V system.
When designing your talk DO NOT USE Aptos font; this text font is incompatible with our presentation technology.
Please upload your talks at least 30 min prior to your session. Volunteers will be available to assist in uploading your presentation.
Please arrive at least 15 min prior to your session and introduce yourself to the chair(s).
Concurrent session talks are 15 minutes, which provides for an ~12min talk and 3 min of questions. We ask that all presenters adhere to this time frame.
Posters:
Poster orientation must be portrait, NOT landscape and the maximum allowable size is 90 cm [35 in] wide by 110 cm [43 in] high.
The poster session runs from 18:00 – 20:00, May 14th in the Science Atrium.
All presenters are expected to attend their poster for the assigned hour during the poster session to discuss their work with attendees visiting your poster. In you have been selected to participate in a poster award, please ensure you have spoken to the judges prior to leaving your poster. The judges will identify themselves.
You will be assigned a poster number, which can be found at the end of this program. Please set up your poster on the board displaying the assigned poster number. Materials will be supplied to hang your poster.
Your number determines your presentation time:
18:00-19:00: Even-numbered posters
19:00-20:00: Odd-numbered posters
Presenters are responsible for the setup and take-down of their posters.
