Considers the application of the science of animal ecology to management and conservation problems. The course covers the biotic and abiotic factors that regulate animal populations, interactions among species, community structure, ecosystem processes, and applications of ecological principles and techniques to conservation and management. The field course is funded by NSF (IOS-2146109) and focuses on learning and applying techniques of animal ecology in the Suisun Marsh of Solano County, CA.
