Donations will assist us with engaging our members in building and fostering a community of future educators through the means of social events, professional workshops, and collaborative learning opportunities. SCTA hosts a workshop called “How to Become a Substitute Teacher” to not only assist our members with getting classroom experience, but guiding them through an unfamiliar process. Donations will also go to fees and materials to assist with sending our members to an annual Road to Teaching Conference where they will learn how to become better educators and expand their knowledge to other careers in education. Through community engagement, our members are supported by their peers and board members through the guidance of valuable resources and connections that SCTA creates and initiates.
