The CSU Drone club was established to create a place for individuals at Colorado State University interested in unmanned aircraft of all types to come together. Our members' interest in drones vary from mini racing quads, to large fixed wing drone aerobatics, to professional drones applications, and everything in between.
We hold bi-weekly meetings to discuss various topics in UAS and educate on a subject each meeting. Topics include everything from safety guidelines, to new technology, to flight techniques, and much more. We also have guest speakers come occasionally and speak about exciting subjects. Flight simulators and other activities are usually set up at meetings as well. After each meeting we fly mini-quads indoors!
The CSU Drone Club also holds regular outdoor flight days at Christman Airfield, a private airfield owned and operated by CSU. Flight days are held every other Saturday, and allow all members to fly their own drones (fixed wing or multi-rotor). These dates can be found on the Events page.
