When LAFD is low staffed, a two-person crew with run the ambulance to provide coverage to area not covered by LAFD. Advance (ALS) or Basic (BLS) life support care will be provided based on the crew staffed:
EMT-B + EMT-B / EMSVO = BLS
EMT-P + EMT-B / EMSVO = ALS

This Fly-Car is typically staffed by an ALS Provider (Paramedic+) to provide rapid, advance care either prior or along with a transport crew. Usually stationed in an area not covered by LAFD.

Got a doctors appointment and don't have a ride? Been transported to the hospital because CHP accidently shot you and now you need a ride home? Call us! AMR is glad to proud to provide our citizens with transport to and from the hospital.
