Program Overview:
The purpose of the CSRA RESA Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement Program is to prepare participants who can function as instructional specialists in member systems and agencies. Goals for candidates completing the Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement Program are as follows:
Developing knowledge, skills, and dispositions to identify performance criteria
Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of performance assessments and analysis of results
Developing, maintaining, and implementing an effective coaching plan
Providing feedback to an individual or group of individuals to build capacity and improve performance
Communicating effectively with the protégé
Effectively establish the relationship of trust with all stakeholders in the coaching process

Eligibility:
A valid, level 4 or higher Professional, Advanced Professional, or Lead Professional teaching certificate, leadership certificate, Life certificate, or service certificate with a recommendation to serve as a TSC from a local unit of administration or school administrator is required for program admission. Educators admitted to the program holding leadership, Life, or service certificates must have held a Professional teaching certificate.
Currently employed by a Georgia school system

Courses:
The TSC Endorsement is comprised of two 50-hour courses that must be completed in sequence:
Defining Teacher Support and Coaching Skills – 50 Hours Defining Teacher Support and Coaching Skills is the first course of an endorsement program that prepares educators to supervise individuals to mentor/coach protégés in the Induction and Professional phases of their careers, and supplements requirements in Rule 505-3-.01, REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS FOR APPROVING EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROVIDERS AND EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS. The TSC Endorsement is a two-course program, which endeavors for candidates to master the 505-3-.105 TEACHER SUPPORT AND COACHING (TSC) ENDORSEMENT PROGRAM Rule. This course builds the knowledge and skills of a teacher leader in working with a protégé teacher and guides the candidate to understanding how to work with a protégé’s performance criteria, organization’s performance criteria, effective coaching plans, and communication skills.
Implementing Teacher Support and the Coaching Processes – 50 Hours Implementing the Coaching Process is the second course of an endorsement program that prepares educators to supervise individuals to mentor/coach protégés in the Induction and Professional phases of their careers, and supplements requirements in Rule 505‐3‐.01, REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS FOR APPROVING EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROVIDERS AND EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS. This course provides opportunities for the candidate to apply the knowledge and skills learned in course one in working with a protégé teacher. The course further reinforces the candidate’s skills to work with a protégé’s performance criteria and organization’s performance criteria, guide coaching plans, guide the process for analyzing student work and data, and utilize effective communication skills.
