for this assignment, I took a cyber security course to get more acquainted with the terms of cyber security and to learn ways to avoid having my personal information stolen. This article shares how a young man was able to launch an online cyber attack, stealing $600,000 from approximately 1,600 victim accounts on a sports betting site. Betting sites like these need to have more security because they are holding people's money and this money could be easily stolen by hackers. People can keep their accounts safer by constantly changing their passwords every 3 months

I learned different ways how I can stay safe online such as examining an email more precisely before opening a link, especially from an email that I was not expecting, I also learned that there are a lot of cyber security issues in the world due to the digital age growing more and more.

This article shares how a suspected of identity to bank theft according to pharma Ohio police department. According to a Brook Park resident, she had her identity recently stolen and was unlawfully removed from her bank account on October 20th, 2023. This is a serious issue because identity theft can happen to anyone and you are the only person who is able to prevent yourself from getting your identity stolen. Keeping personal information secure and using alerts can keep you safe and up to date on your bank information and other valuable personal information.
