In this assignment we were tasked in completing Cybersecurity Training Access. After completing that we had to find two articles on security/cybersecurity topics, and summarize them.
The second article i found was more of an informative article by the FBI. Ransomware is a type of cyberattack that locks users out of their computer systems or data until a ransom is paid. It typically spreads through malicious email attachments, links, or compromised websites. To protect against ransomware, keep software up-to-date, use reliable antivirus programs, back up data regularly, and store backups securely away from main systems. If attacked, it's recommended not to pay the ransom and to report the incident to the authorities.

To the left is my Cyber security training certifcate.
The first article i found was A Disney Worker Downloaded an AI Tool. It Led to a Hack That Ruined His Life. Disney engineer Matthew Van Andel inadvertently downloaded AI-powered photo software embedded with malware from a code-sharing platform. This malicious software granted a hacker group, Nullbulge, access to Disney's internal systems and Van Andel's personal information. The breach led to the exposure of over 44 million internal messages, revealing sensitive company data and personal employee information. To prevent such incidents, it's crucial to avoid downloading unauthorized software, utilize reputable antivirus programs, and ensure all devices have up-to-date security patches.
