1. I plan to attend Nova Southeastern University in Florida once I get my associate's degree from CCBC this school year.
2. Once I graduate, I want to become a successful entrepreneur & have a stable, flexible job with good income that I enjoy doing.
3. I want to get married by 25 & have 2-4 kids with my wife and live in a nice single-family home.
Using the 4 basic steps on my mind map, I can be sure to stay on track to reach all 3 of my goals! These steps include:
Staying focused
Completing all my assignments
Getting good sleep
Finishing my associate's degree
We learned how much you could really do with Word this unit, but there were a few things that stuck with me the most. These things being:
Learning how to make and format titles & headings properly in our document
Properly creating citations instead of manually typing them out
Replacing unwanted or misspelled words with others
Using the headers and footers feature to make our document look more professional
We also learned a lot about how to use Excel and it was really eye-opening to me. I had no idea how useful Excel could be and I'm really excited that I now know how to use the site in a decent capacity. A few things that stuck with me were:
How to format each cell in its size, height, font, and color
How to insert and customize different types of charts & tables into the the spreadsheet
How to skip a lot of manual typing and thinking by using formulas in tables to do the math for you
Using the different formatting features to add things like date & time functions into your spreadsheet
I really liked getting to know how to use Word and Excel as intended. I had no idea how useful these applications could really be and it was cool to see theiur full potential. I love showing off my skills in my other classes now.
