This project focuses on comparing information pertaining to demographic, climate, culture, and technology usage between two locations. This project will demonstrate the research ability, communication skills, and digital literacy of students. For this project, my partner Heather and I researched Italy and Switzerland respectively.
One interesting fact that stood out to me during this project was that Italy has less access to newer forms of technology than the rest of Europe. Given that Switzerland is known for innovation and developments in technology, this is one area of contrast between the two countries. However, there are many overlaps between the two countries in areas such as language, religion, and culture.
Overall this project was pretty fun since we were able to select the locations that we wanted to research. I was already interested in Switzerland so it was nice to be able to learn more about it while in school. The project was also a good demonstration of our competence using some digital tools such as MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
For communication throughout the project, my partner and I communicated and collaborated through the discussion board in Brightspace, our CCBC emails, and a sharable PowerPoint file. We also shared our research with each other for reference. These seemed to be effective means of communication and I think we worked well together.
