Get involved with the Sturgeon Heights Student Expo! If you don't know what the Student Success Expo is - look at the main page of this website (to read or watch videos about the event)
You can start asking the various teachers, coaches, and others who run programs/classes, clubs, and other group events here at Sturgeon Heights: "are you going to be a part of the Student Success Expo?". You can be involved in multiple ways or combinations of ways. Some of the various ways you could be involved include:
Volunteer at one of your teacher's "booths" to showcase and celebrate your work and skills, and talk about that program or extra curricular activity to those who are interested (just ask and encourage your teachers/coaches to have a booth at the expo)
Help build and setup a booth for the expo (again check with your teachers/coaches to see if you can get involved with this)
Help promote the expo (depending if you are in some of the applicable programs) by making posters, videos, etc. to promote the event
Participate in a competition happening at the expo in one of the programs offering a competition (ask or encourage your teachers/coaches to see if they are offering a competition)
Help run or judge a competition for the expo (check with your teachers/coaches to see if you can get involved with this)
Be a school ambassador for the expo and do things like helping setup or take down the event, or be a tour guide to guests to our school at the event (just talk to Mr. Wachs, Mr. Valentim, or another administrator and let them know you want to be involved)
Participate and be involved in multiple ways listed above (you don't just have to be in one booth, you can divide your time up over multiple things you want to showcase and celebrate)
Still want to be involved? but none of these apply to you, or you have thought of your own way to be involved, or your own success you want to celebrate? - then, come see Mr. Wachs in room B5! (or email him at mrLWachs@gmail.com)
Even if you are not involved in one of the ways above, you can still be a participant by touring through the Expo and looking and trying the various booths and activities going on. You can talk to other students at their booths to learn about the great things they are doing. You can ask your teachers the afternoon of the expo if you or your class can come down to the main floor and tour the expo. You can also tour after school at 3:30 and you can certainly invite your friends and family to come tour the expo after school as well.
The Student Success Expo will take place on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026
If you still have questions about the Student Success Expo or you want to celebrate something else about your student success here that I haven't listed here, or maybe you thought of another way you can get involved - then, come see Mr. Wachs in room B5! (or email him at mrLWachs@gmail.com)
