This is the output from following the tutorial to a tee.
I found it hard to see the planets so I wanted to change the textures of everything. I edited the orbital speeds to more closely resemble the real life orbital speeds. They are as close to scale speeds as possible, based on the speed at which Mercury completes four rotations (~1.2 Earth Years).
To create an even more realistic view of the solar system and to show the rotation of the planets clearer, I made light originate from the sun. I went with a darker set up so that it had more of that lonely space feel
I added a comet that flies into the system and circles around the sun before ending up in the sun due to it expanding...
I would have liked to fully render it as I added glow effects and it looks much better in the render than in the playblasts but I could not figure it out!
