With everything this year being a "go with the flow" year our first practice date is going to have to be tentative for now. That being said, we are tentatively planning to start our spring season on Monday January 25th. Between the beginning of this month and the end of the month many things may change. CSB may decide to have a two week quiet phase after students move back restricting group activities and athletic practices to attempt to minimize a large breakout of positive COVID cases as the students return from winter break.
At this time the MIAC has not made any changes or restrictions for spring sport seasons. We are aware that travel for our annual spring break trip are very unlikely at this time but are hoping we can still have a regular conference season and compete in non-conference games against schools in surrounding states. The primary topics of conversation remain to be:
What are the testing requirements required to compete and who will be tested?
How much will the testing cost?
What protocols can we have in place during games and travel to create the safest environment possible for teams, staff, coaches and officials?
How will the vaccine play a role in sport seasons?
