CSAwesome PD is offered in several lengths and can be completed online or hybrid depending on your experience with Java and AP CSA.
Expectations
Expectations
In order to receive a certificate of participation for all CSAwesome professional development workshops, participants must meet the following requirements:
Complete the CSAwesome pre-test and pre-survey.
Participate in all required video conference meetings.
Successfully complete at least 80% of all assigned PD activities.
Complete the CSAwesome post-test and post-survey

Teacher Reflections
After completing the student lesson and exercises for each unit in the CSAwesome course, teachers will review the lesson plans and supplementary materials.

College Board Workshops and Summer Institutes:
The CSAwesome PD is not a workshop sponsored by the AP Program. The College Board offers AP CSA specific training for teachers preparing to teach the AP CSA course, including AP Summer Institutes (APSIs) and 1-day workshops that provide course and instructional support. Teachers may decide to attend a College Board Workshop or Summer Institute training and/or attend a CSAwesome PD. Attending both is encouraged, but not required.
