This prop took about 2 and a half months to plan and finish, and is modeled after Vash the Stampede’s revolver from the show, Trigun Stampede. While not completely accurate, I managed to replicate his top-break mechanism and have a free spinning chamber.
I used a cheap toy gun as a base for this build. Besides the handle, chamber, and bullets, everything else was created 100% by me. I custom patterned each detail piece and used a combination of recycled cardboard and foam to make each panel.
