I worked on this project on and off for about 7 months. I made a custom mold out of a gem I hand-sanded to be the correct shape. I made 3 different versions to test different colors, shades, and transparencies. I hand-painted shadows and highlights to make it look more like the show it was based on, Amphibia.Â
Each panel, side, and froggy decal was designed by me and glued individually. The leather was mixed with a custom green-brown paint and airbrushed to minimize brushstrokes. My goals were for it to light up and play music, which I can happily say is true. It was even signed by Matt Braly, the creator of Amphibia!
