Children's Books & YA Novels:
I make slides with the covers of Children's books that are excellent classroom resources EACH week to share with students. I also bring a book to read and share almost ever other week to demonstrate the value of having books that students can see themselves in. I demonstrate what a diverse library looks like and how important it is to normalizing differences and let students see themselves in the books we read.
