GEDO#2 Option

Overview

The Crossroads program provides students with the opportunity to obtain a high school diploma in an environment that reflects their best chance to succeed.

The program looks at each student as an individual and aims to develop the whole person. Emphasis is placed on community, personal-social development, employability skills and academic achievement.

Students who successfully complete all program requirements will graduate with a high school diploma from Johnson Creek or Lake Mills School District.

Structure

Students engage in a variety of activities based on their individual needs and strengths. All Learning is designed to meet the Wisconsin State Academic Standards

Personalized Learning allows the student to obtain mastery at his/her readiness level. Students engage with the content as a vehicle for skill development based on strengths and areas in need of improvement. Each student works with a team of teachers, counselors, and parents to develop the best individual path for graduation.

Students who meet the criteria for the program have the option to obtain his/her high school credentials and recover credits through the GEDO#2 program or through a combination of on-line learning, individual projects, community based learning or a hybrid of GED tests and other means.
