Barbering

The Barbering Program will prepare individuals to become licensed Barbers. Services taught will include basic to advanced hair cutting skills, shaving , beard & mustache trimming, skin care , massages, hygiene , safety, chemical treatment , sanitation and state board rules and regulations. Upon completion of this program students will be require to take the Maryland State Board of barbers examination test.

The 1,200 hour program includes classroom instruction, clinical experience, related monitored work-based learning experience and a senior capstone project.
