Dr Elizabeth Newman-Earl

Dr Elizabeth Newman-Earl is the Chief Executive Officer of e50K supporting military community members to enhance and develop their unique environments. e50K is a collective of military community members aiming to establish long-term sustainable projects to enable active participation in community life, and provide those impacted by military life a platform and active voice. Additionally, working with the local community, e50K aims to provide opportunities to maintain, establish or train for thriving careers. Ultimately, the organisation aims to improve the lived experiences of those impacted by military life.

She completed her PhD at the University of Essex in Sociology and Critical Military Studies. Her thesis is titled 'Patch Life: Army Wives Behind the Wire". It involves critical sociological investigation into how army wives in an overseas garrison experienced their situation of living ‘behind the wire'.
