Electrode Fabrication
and Modification
Fabrication of Microheater
Using Silver Ink
Microchamber for incubation
Final Device with Microheater
Design & Fabrication: Electrodes and microheater were designed in AutoCAD and printed using Conductive ink via inkjet printing.
Microchambers: PDMS chambers integrated for bacterial incubation on electrodes.
Integration: Microheater maintains ~37 °C for controlled growth conditions.
Validation: On-chip bacterial incubation achieved and monitored by Cyclic Voltammetry (CV).
Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST)
•E. coli was tested against Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Cefpodoxime, and Clavam using both standard and on-chip methods.
•On-chip AST achieved within 6 hours, with antibiotic response monitored electrochemically.
•Ciprofloxacin showed the highest inhibitory effect in both standard and on-chip studies.
