The horse experience should be thorough, diverse, fun and most of all safe. At Creekwood Farms we believe that the best riding experience is based on a good rapport between rider and horse. Our horses like working with people and enjoy being ridden, both pre-requisites for having a good rapport and a safe ride.
Creekwood Farms provides English riding lessons specializing in hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Riders of all skill levels and from the age of 5 and up are always welcome. Whether you are a competition rider that has been in the ring for years, or a first time rider hoping to learn basic skills, Creekwood Farms can help you to achieve your goals. All of our lesson horses have been shown and won awards at numerous shows. Regardless if you are a beginner or a more advanced rider, we can match your level of expertise with horses that are enjoyable, and safe. Our beloved, show-quality school horses are a vital part of our barn family, and capable of taking you from your first riding experience through your first shows.
It is important to create good horse-people, not just good riders. The main focus of our lessons is to educate students in horsemanship and sportsmanship with an emphasis on safety, respect, compassion and responsibility in a relaxed atmosphere.
Our barn offers full boarding which includes a quality balanced feeding program with grain fed twice daily and access to hay throughout the day. All horses are turned out together daily (weather permitting) on free choice hay. Also included in the price of board is the feeding of provided supplements, arrangement of routine vet and farrier services, and winter blanketing (blanket must be provided by the owner). The barn is equipped with an environmentally friendly automatic insect control spray system. All of our roomy stalls provide an automatic watering system.
We take excellent care of our horses, with our priority being their health and happiness, and would like to do the same for your horse.
We are a competition barn, as such, all Creekwood Farms boarders/leasers are required to participate in competitions annually.
Creekwood Farms is able to provide a horse show experience for all levels, based on the education, skill, and goals of the rider and horse. Ranging from local schooling shows to A-rated shows, we can always find a level of competition that will best suit your needs. Creekwood Farms students have the understanding that real blue ribbons aren’t won in the show arena. The real blue ribbons are won at home during hours of hard work and dedication.

Our camp is an all-girls riding camp focused on empowering young girls to find their voice through working with horses.
Campers are assigned their own horse for the week. They share in the care of the horse with a partner. Campers learn to be responsible for the daily care, grooming, and well-being of “their horse”.
Each camp week closes with a special ceremony where campers are presented with an award earned throughout the week.
No prior riding experience is necessary and the campers are divided into riding groups based on their riding skill level. Beginners receive a good foundation from which to continue their riding experience if they choose to and more advanced riders have the opportunity to improve their skills.
Camp horses and ponies are well-schooled animals that are used in our year-round lesson program.
Our camp is targeted to youths (6-13 years old), and introduces young riders to the fundamentals of riding, horse care, and horse safety in a fun and informative way!
We strive to teach all of our campers the basics of horsemanship. Campers participate in daily riding and also learn how to safely work with horses on the ground, equine anatomy, equipment care, nutrition—and so much more! When riding we make sure that all campers learn how to control their own horse and not just follow in line. We do this through fun games and exercises, with assistance where needed. Our campers are led by adult supervisors who love kids, horses, and having fun!
When not around the horses, campers enjoy arts & crafts, water activities, and outdoor games.
Interacting with horses also teaches us about ourselves. Self-respect, respect for others, curiosity, clarity in communication—all are natural “ways of being” for these very special animals. Add in each horse’s unique personality, preferences, and willingness to partner with humans and you begin to see why they have so much to offer our young riders.
To keep your spot we ask for a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $250 and expect the full payment to be completed by Monday, the week prior to the start of camp. Your spot will not be held until we have received your deposit.
