Measurement: the distance from one point to one point
Attribute: a quality about an object
Volume: how much space an object takes up
Solid figure: a 3D shape with no holes
Right rectangular prism: a 3D object with six rectangular faces
Unit: 1 form of measurement (inch, foot, centimeter)
Unit cube: a way of measuring volume
Gap: when two layers do not meet
Overlap: when two layers lie on top of each other
Cubic units (cubic cm, cubic in. cubic ft. nonstandard cubic units): 3D cubes that are the same measurement on each side and used for finding volume
Multiplication: to multiply together two numbers and get a product
Addition: to add together two numbers and get a sum
Edge: the line where two sides meet
Length: the side to side measurement of an object
Height: the top to bottom measurement of an object
Width: the front to back measurement of an object
Area: the amount of 2D space a shape occupies on paper (length x width)
Base: the bottom layer of a 3D object (length x width)
Formula: the mathematical way of finding an answer
Perimeter: the distance around an object
Layer: one sheet or thickness of a 3D object
Cube: a 3D rectangular prism with all equal sides
