When Nancy loses her cellphone she desperately searches for her contacts only to discover her true connections.

Nancy is a university student living in our contemporary world. She faces problems with her relationship, and she’s in the middle of the finals week. Shocked, she finds out she has lost her cellphone- and all her contacts.

The necessity of Connections derives from the same context that gave rise to the unique and unconventional contemporary Greek cinema. Like many cinematographers, I had to navigate through difficult situations, including 2 national crises (the Greek and Brexit),  personal and family crises, as well as the wildfires. No aspect of social and cultural life is immune to catastrophic events. In Connections, an oppressive society, loss, fear, alienation, social isolation and the flat as an enclosed space, leads to post-post-traumatic stress disorder for Nancy. But she rises despite the depression to create a new circle of friends.
