CREATIVE HEARTS TEAM
Vivienne Fullerton, Founder & Executive Director
Vivienne founded Creative Hearts in 2024 after seeing how dementia affected four of her grandparents. Motivated to make a difference, she developed intergenerational art programs that have helped hundreds of seniors stay socially connected, creatively engaged and emotionally supported.
At 14 and 15, she studied entrepreneurship at UCSD and neuroscience at Stanford University. At 16, she conducted a six-month research project on the impact of creative engagement on older adults' cognition and well-being, earning awards at the San Diego Science Fair and the San Diego Psychological Association, which led to an internship at a university neuroscience lab. She's also co-building a second nonprofit that promotes and creates respectful spaces for thoughtful civic dialogue for teens.
Vivienne’s work has earned national recognition, including People Magazine, the Gold, Silver and Bronze Congressional Award Medals (the U.S. Congress’ highest honor for youth), the Gold President's Volunteer Service Award, the National Service Honor, and the United Nations Association of the USA Ambassador Award. At 16, she was recognized by California Assembly District 76, (population 475K+) for her positive impact in the community.
