The home is designed to meet the client’s desire for simplicity, efficiency, and low maintenance, while responding intuitively to Bharatpur’s hot and dry climate. It features a thoughtfully oriented layout that maximizes natural light and cross-ventilation, minimizing energy dependency. A key design element is the jali screen, serving as a passive cooling device by filtering harsh sunlight and facilitating airflow, ensuring thermal comfort year-round. Durable, locally sourced materials like stone, terracotta, and lime plaster reduce maintenance needs and reflect the region’s heritage. Shaded courtyards, indigenous landscaping, and water conservation systems, including rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling, enhance sustainability.
This corner gate with a slant not only adds an aesthetic dimension to the property but also emphasizes a modern, dynamic design. The combination of materials, functionality, and creative angles makes it a standout feature that perfectly complements a contemporary residence, ensuring a unique and welcoming entrance that enhances the overall appeal of the home.
The result is a harmonious blend of traditional wisdom and modern functionality, offering a naturally comfortable, eco-friendly living environment.
